I’m Tammi Pando, a lifelong Pueblo resident and a Pueblo County employee with more than a decade of hands-on experience serving our community. I’m running for Pueblo County Assessor because I believe this office should work clearly, fairly, and accurately for every property owner—and I know what it takes to make that happen.
I was born and raised in Pueblo, graduated from Pueblo South High School, and studied accounting at Pueblo Community College. My public service career began in 2008 as an election judge. In 2013, I was hired by Pueblo County, where I’ve spent over 12 years working across departments including Motor Vehicles, Elections, and the Assessor’s Office.
I joined the Assessor’s Office in 2017 as an appraisal technician and worked my way up to a senior residential appraiser. Along the way, I’ve gained firsthand experience with property valuation, Colorado statutes, and the systems that ensure assessments are done accurately and consistently. I’ve also worked through two major data and software conversions in the last five years, which has reinforced how critical accurate data, careful oversight, and accountability are to maintaining public trust.
I know this office from the inside—and I’m committed to making sure it serves Pueblo with accuracy, transparency, and respect.
Tammi's Key's to Success
I believe accurate information leads to accurate values. Property owners deserve confidence that their data is correct, their values are fair, and the law is being followed consistently.
Accuracy
I am committed to ensuring all data transfers are complete and correct following recent system changes and to strictly following Colorado statutes governing property assessment.
Consistency
I will strengthen employee training and supervision to ensure properties are valued uniformly and fairly. I will also support developing standardized training materials to improve onboarding and long-term consistency across the office.
Transparency
I believe property owners should clearly understand how their property value is determined, why assessed value matters, and what rights they have to protest a valuation. I will proactively share information about programs such as Homestead and Veterans exemptions to help educate the public on key issues involving their properties and what resources exist to help them.
Customer Service
My approach emphasizes being positive, helpful, informative, and understandable.
